Rehabilitation and recovery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have become extremely important in these difficult times. Our defenders often suffer physical and psychological injuries that require long-term and comprehensive treatment.
Rehabilitation programs typically include:
Physical Rehabilitation: Providing medical assistance, professional support, and using technological tools such as prosthetics and exoskeletons.
Psychological Support: Equally important as physical recovery, it includes not only consultations and therapy for the military but also sessions for their families.
Socio-Economic Support: Helps veterans adapt to civilian life, including assistance with employment, financial support, housing, and educational opportunities.
There are many state and private programs in Ukraine that help military personnel after injuries. We have gathered information about several centers and programs operating in the Kyiv region to support our defenders.
This rehabilitation center is part of the UPLUS SYSTEM project, founded in 2022, which includes a rehabilitation center, an educational center for training specialists in prosthetics, rehabilitation, surgery, and a network of prosthetic workshops. The center provides surgical, physiotherapeutic, psychological assistance, and prosthetic services to wounded military personnel and civilians affected by military actions. There is also a recreational area and residential buildings on the premises where military personnel and their families can live during their recovery.
