Love that goes far beyond a romantic story, becoming a profound connection between people, the land, nature, and our own roots.
This year’s Kupala will combine ritual performances with music and poetry from different generations. Ancient traditions will resonate alongside contemporary voices, reminding us that Ukrainian culture does not belong only to the past—it lives, evolves, and is being created today.
The first day of the Kupala celebration is dedicated to love in all its manifestations and voices. On June 20, we invite you on a lyrical journey through poetry by contemporary authors who articulate the most delicate emotions, a Ukrainian retro concert by @mova.collective, and a meditative performance about tenderness, fragility, the value of life, and its highest manifestation — love. On this day, contemporary artists will express their feelings sincerely and eloquently, just as the Ukrainian people have always done.
On Sunday, we will create a space of tradition together, where the spirit of unity between man and nature prevails. Ancient Kupala songs will echo on the banks of the Dnipro, blending with the melodies flowing over the water and the scents of midsummer herbs. Together, we will adorn the Kupala tree of life and the "Ivan" — following the ancient local tradition of the Right-Bank Kyiv region. We will weave wreaths from rich summer wildflowers and release them into the Dnipro, trusting the mighty river with our deepest dreams. Our hearts will unite in the rhythm of lively folk dances, accompanied by one of the best young instrumental bands, @shch.uka.ryba. The climax of the event will be the striking of "living fire" and the ignition of the life-giving Kupala bonfire.
The ancient land of Vytachiv, nestled among the hills above the Dnipro, will embrace everyone with its beauty and warmth during these summer days.
