Uvarov House is a historical and cultural landmark in Vorzel, located in the former estate of Countess Natalia Uvarova (Tereshchenko), the daughter of prominent philanthropist Fedir Tereshchenko. The building was originally constructed in the early 20th century by Kyiv manufacturer and merchant of the 1st guild, Karl Septer, and later sold to Countess Uvarova.
Over the years, the estate served as a school—where renowned Ukrainian writer Valerian Pidmohylny once taught—and later became home to the famous school cinema Kosmos, which gained recognition even beyond the Soviet Union.
After falling into disrepair in the 1990s, the building was restored, and in 2007, the Vorzel Museum of History and Culture Uvarov House was officially opened. Today, it also hosts a local Cultural Center and continues to grow as a hub of community life. In 2024, new exhibitions were added, and a French-designed urban project called French Quarter was announced nearby, aiming to further develop the area into a cultural and educational space.
