Conical bowl with monochrome decoration

Around 4100-3900 BCE. The painted composition depicts a pair of Lunar Snakes, a combination of a snake motif and the Moon, formed by four parallel lines crowned by a black circle. This symbolizes the combination of the potency of the full Moon (head of the Lunar Snake) and the lines of its body (water signs) into the symbol of cosmic fertility - the "bucranium".
