Captured Russian tank T-62

Russian occupiers are experiencing significant losses of equipment in the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers captured a T-62 tank belonging to Russian forces during the liberation of the city of Kherson in the fall of 2022.

The T-62 tank was introduced into service about 60 years ago. Since the summer of 2022, approximately 800 tanks of this modification have been taken out of storage in Russia, with some of them being modernized and equipped with new targeting systems. The T-62 is a Soviet second-generation medium tank.

It weighs 37 tons, with a length of 6,630 mm, width of 3,300 mm, height of 2,395 mm, and a crew of 4 people. The caliber of its gun is 115 mm, with an ammunition capacity of 40 rounds.
