The village of Antonivka, founded in 1656, became famous for the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, built in 1777 by Antoniy Stefansky in the Cossack style using oak logs. Originally a three-apse structure, the church was expanded in 1802 with the addition of two side chapels, and a bell tower was built in 1826. The church is a typical example of three-domed Cossack architecture, although some later additions, such as metal drums under the domes, reduce its authenticity.
