Historical documents testify that in 1730 on the site of the present Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross there was a wooden church in honour of the Nativity of Christ. Through the “efforts” of Prince Vyshnevetskyi, the church was transferred to the Uniates, and later it was dismantled and a Catholic church was built on this spot.
In 1992 the Exaltation of the Holy Cross parish was revived in Volodarka. It was housed in the premises of the former bus station, but in 1995 the parish was given the use of the building of the former Catholic church, which the community reconstructed, adding a dome.
