This is a nature conservation site created to protect valuable natural complexes and the historical and cultural heritage of Kyiv Oblast. On the site of the reserve there used to be the Chubynsky estate, where Pavlo Chubynsky lived. The flora of the reserve is mainly represented by deciduous forest dominated by oak, and the average age of the trees reaches 200–300 years.
