The hill above the Chervona River opposite the village of Hermanivka was known as far back as the times of Kyivan Rus. According to the chronicles, the ancient fortified settlement of Hermanych was located here. According to legend, its founder was Prince Volodymyr the Great himself. Today a twelve-metre memorial cross on the top of the hill is a reminder of the thousand-year history. There is also a chapel and a gazebo of the Holy Protection of the Mother of God, from which a wonderful panorama of the surrounding floodplains and the village of Hermanivka opens. And nearby, in a windmill, you can visit the Bread Museum.
