The Church of St Nicholas is one of the community’s important spiritual and historical landmarks. It was built in 1832 at the expense of the local landowners Karl and Kateryna Lausberg. The brick church has one main dome and four additional decorative ones. A bell tower topped with a tall spire is joined to the church by a long gallery. The church seems to fence itself off from its surroundings (an impression reinforced by the old stone fence) and boasts its noble origin. The church is built in the Classicist (Empire) style and is one of the most prominent historical buildings in the village. According to some assumptions, the design of the building may have belonged to the famous Italian architect Giacomo Quarenghi.
