Routes of the “Wine and Taste Roads of Kyiv Region”: Which Gastro Locations Await in the Chornobyl Direction

You can already set off in 5 directions of the “Roads”: Rzhyshchiv, Yasnohorod, Chornobyl, Yabluniv and Yahotyn. We will look in more detail at the locations of the Chornobyl one.

Stalker Hotel & Hostel

This is a new hostel located in a picturesque area 2 kilometres from the Dytiatky checkpoint, not far from Chornobyl. Stalker Hotel & Hostel is a place where modern amenities and a cosy loft-style atmosphere blend harmoniously. It has 21 rooms for 90 guests and 4 separate rooms for another 8 travellers.

Medvyno Ecopark

This is a unique natural complex and safari park near the Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve, where all conditions are created to be as close to wild nature as possible. The park is home to 16 species of ungulates (bison, mouflon, buffalo, European bison, llamas, kulans, camels, fallow deer, deer, goats, sheep and others) and about 10 species of birds (ostriches, geese, partridges, herons, pheasants). All of them were brought from different corners of Ukraine and even the world, for example, several mouflons from France itself. The animals were usually bought in Zalissia and on Biriuchyi Island, and some were rescued from zoos (the European bison Theodore and the yak Boris). Many animals were already born in the park.

“Medvyno” is three thousand hectares of freedom and wild nature near the banks of the Dnipro. Group and individual excursions by car, quad bike or buggy are held here for large groups.
