Date and time
Add to calendarThe village of Vepryk in the Fastiv district of the Kyiv region is situated along the picturesque, once deep, but now reed-overgrown quiet river Kyrshe. Here, from 1920 to 1922, Kyrylo Hryhorovych Stetsenko lived and created—an outstanding Ukrainian composer, conductor, choirmaster, author of songs, choral works, cantatas, and fairy-tale operas for children, a UAOC archpriest, educator, musical critic, and public figure.
The interactive program "Visiting Vepryk" is a journey during which you will learn legends about the village's name and facts from its history; visit the K. Hryh. Stetsenko Museum; uncover the true story behind the "recumbent" monument; visit the ancient village square where St. Paraskeva's Church is located; and explore the "Khutir Mlynok" Scythian-era hillfort.
