Shared values and meanings unite us and give us a sense of safety and normality. We gathered for the Christmas Fair both before the war and during it. On frosty, slightly overcast winter days, meeting relatives and friends/neighbours by the village’s main Christmas tree, browsing the fair, sharing warmth and donations – this is an important tradition that keeps us going in these difficult times.
This year we are gathering on the Saturday before Christmas, so that you have time to prepare gifts under the tree for your dearest and to put together warm and tasty parcels for our Defenders.
We know that you already feel a slight excitement from the festive bustle that is about to sweep you up like a snow avalanche and carry you along in a stream of questions: “what to give”, “how to decorate”, “what to treat everyone to”… Did we guess? Of course! Then boldly get your bags ready. 10% of the cost of purchases made during the fair goes to charity. Craft treats from local producers, handmade toys, decorations, charms, warm accessories and much more. Plus a music programme, entertainment for children, a charity raffle and much more!
Come, invite your friends, bring a good mood and warm gloves, and see you there!
