School tours of Ancient Kyiv at the “Kyivan Rus Park”
– this is not a boring trip for acquiring theoretical knowledge. These are living history lessons, where everyone can not only hear about the grandeur of the glorious medieval city of Kyiv, but also see in person what the capital of Kyivan Rus was like!
For schoolchildren we offer:
- A tour of Ancient Kyiv – duration 45–60 min, price UAH 70 per child (if the group is smaller than 20 people, UAH 1,400 per group).
During the tour children are told the history of Kyiv from the 5th to the 13th century with a visual demonstration on a map and on the architecture that has already been recreated in the “Kyivan Rus Park”.
- Game programmes – duration 60 min, price UAH 100 per child (if the group is smaller than 15 people, UAH 1,500 per group).
During the game programmes children take part in medieval entertainment workshops. Usually within 1 hour schoolchildren manage to take part in 3 interactive activities, which may be tug-of-war, archery, spear throwing or ring tossing onto swords, and so on. The workshops depend on the children’s age.
