We invite you to join the study of the traditional folk embroidery of the Pereiaslav region together with the cultural and artistic project “Pereiaslav Shirt”.
We are recruiting a group for the “Pereiaslav Shirt” Embroidery Studio.
During the course you will master ancient embroidery techniques and create with your own hands a shirt using the ornaments of authentic samples from the museum collection of the Pereiaslav National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve.
Course participants will have a unique opportunity to:
- Learn ancient stitches and techniques while becoming acquainted with museum antiquities;
- choose an ornament from the area your family comes from;
- learn more about folk customs, symbolism and rituals;
- spend time among like-minded people, in pleasant conversation and creativity.
Course duration: 10 months (20 sessions).
Format: offline, group of up to 12 people.
Classes start: 28 November.
