The “Baryshivka Pocket” memorial in Borshchiv is a burial mound with a mass grave, topped by a monument to a soldier charging into battle with a rifle in his hands. It is also popularly called the “Attacking Soldier”. The remains of Red Army soldiers continue to be found even today. In June 2015 the remains of 24 soldiers were found in the Baryshivka district and reburied, and exactly a year later the remains of 21 fighters were placed in the mass grave near the memorial in Borshchiv.
The Kyiv–Kharkiv highway (E40, M03) passes through the settlement. The memorial is clearly visible from the road.
