The sculptural group “White Angel” is located on the central square of Slavutych and is undoubtedly the city’s calling card. It symbolises rebirth after the Chornobyl tragedy.
In the right hand of the “White Angel” is a laurel wreath that blesses the townspeople, in the left a shield with the star of the Mother of God, a symbol of her intercession and protection. In the lower part of the ensemble is a sacred stone that was brought from Jerusalem.
