Trinity Church is an architectural monument of the 18th century, one of the oldest and most interesting church landmarks of the Baryshivka community, reflecting the deep history of local religious tradition and the architectural development of the region. The present brick church, which now stands as a historic ruin, was built in 1784–1787 on the initiative and at the expense of the former Pereiaslav Cossack colonel and head of the Kyiv Chamber of Civil Court Hryhorii Ivanovych Ivanenko on the site of an old wooden church. The church stands out for its synthesis of Ukrainian Baroque and elements of early Classicism – stylistically it is linked to 18th-century religious architecture. A special feature of the building is its cruciform plan – seen from above, the church has the shape of an equal-armed cross, symbolising the Christian faith and spiritual protection. The church is 20.8 m long and 12.6 m wide. Elements of the exterior decoration have survived, in particular the window and door surrounds.
