Master class on creating a poppy flower

On the eve of the Makoviy holiday, we invite children and adults to join a creative masterclass where you will handcraft a traditional Ukrainian makoviychyk—a special protective amulet symbolizing well-being, family warmth, and a connection to folk traditions.

During the session, participants will learn about the history and symbolism of Makoviy, the meaning of herbs, flowers, and wheat spikes in the festive bouquet, and create their own makoviychyk, which can be blessed and taken home.
