The exhibition “Treasury of the Vyshhorod Land” will run until 12 May.

The exhibition presents a hoard of 17th-century coins found in 1998 in Vyshhorod by local resident M. H. Briginskyi during farm work.

The hoard comprises 550 coins. Mostly these are copper solidi, denarii, three-halfpence pieces, one-and-a-half-groschen pieces, boratynky and groschen. The coins are of Polish and Lithuanian minting. There are also copper coins of shelags or solidi, minted in 1659–1668 at the mints of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which people nicknamed “boratynky”.
