About event
On the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the opening of the exhibition "Heroes Among Us" — capturing the faces of our freedom.
We invite you to visit the personal exhibition of Ukrainian artist Tetyana Sosulina (née Bayda-Usenko), dedicated to Ukrainian soldiers — those who hold the sky above us.
This exposition is not just about paintings. It is a profound tribute to comrades-in-arms, defenders, and fellow artists who traded their paintbrushes and everyday lives for weapons.
What makes these works unique?
-
The canvases for the portraits are wooden lids from ammunition crates brought directly from the front lines.
-
The artistic style echoes traditional icon painting: the author uses gesso (levkas), collage, and gold acrylic.
-
The imagery is complemented by elements of textile mosaic and fragments of authentic camouflage nets, creating a unique "riza" (revetment) for each story.
Come and experience the synergy of pain, resilience, and unshakeable faith in Victory.
