Also known as Hlynianka or Feijoa, it formed in a clay quarry in the area of the driving school in the town of Obukhiv.
According to historical data it has been here for 200 years already. On its summit, remains of the Tshynets archaeological culture of the 16th–12th centuries BC and ceramics of the Kyivan Rus period are found. However, green water flooded it much later, which actually gave the reservoir its name. Locals say the lake continues to grow. Now it consists of 3 parts: the Main Lake and 2 smaller ones on the side.
The Green Lake is the central recreational place of Obukhiv, and residents have set up several beaches on it.
