About the place

The Pokrovska Church, built in 1758, is said to have been funded by the Haidamaks, including Fastiv Colonel Mykyta Shvachka, who led one of the detachments during the Koliyivshchyna uprising. The church is a unique example of vernacular architecture: its low profile, slanted walls, small windows, and domes with crosses give it an authentic appearance, resembling several wooden cottages joined together.
