The restaurant “Hlek” is about tasty food, gastronomic discoveries, and food pairing with wines and drinks. The concept of modern Kyiv cuisine is a refined interpretation of dishes native to us.
The creative chef Andrii Severenchuk is a true gastro-botanist who seeks out incredible gastronomic combinations of seasonal and local products grown within a 100 km radius of the restaurant.
The carefully selected wine list can surprise with the variety of Ukrainian wines. And for a deeper immersion into the world of aromas and wine tastes, tasting evenings are held on a regular basis at the restaurant.
The unique location also supports the restaurant’s concept – it is a historic building, an architectural monument of 1882, at the corner of the oldest streets, Volodymyrska and Velyka Zhytomyrska, and between two shrines of Kyiv: St Michael’s and St Sophia’s cathedrals.
