“Kanapa” is a restaurant of gastronomic national cuisine, the idea of which was developed by restaurateur Dima Borysov and musician Oleh Skrypka. The menu is based on pre-revolutionary recipes from different regions of the country, combined with elements of molecular cuisine. The restaurant cooks with seasonal, local products, and has select steak meat, fresh fish and seafood – crayfish, mussels and a caviar bar. The pride of the establishment is its wine list, a collection of Ukrainian winemakers from the southern regions. For an introduction to the new Ukrainian cuisine, a special tasting set of seven dishes is best.
The restaurant is located in a legendary part of the city, in a preserved wooden building of the 19th century with a fireplace hall. The “restaurant-salon” format is supported by chamber concerts of avant-garde Ukrainian music. The interior features rotating exhibitions of artists, and the tableware is modern original ceramics and carpentry. It has a shop of gastronomic souvenirs so that you can share tasty impressions.
