This is one of the largest reserves in Ukraine, encompassing the territories of the city of Pereiaslav, its surroundings, and part of the Boryspil district. The reserve includes over 400 cultural heritage sites and monuments, including 371 immovable historical and architectural monuments and 24 thematic museums of various profiles.

Pereiaslav National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve

The National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine in Pyrohiv is the largest open-air museum in the country. Its territory is divided into zones representing different ethnographic regions of Ukraine, such as Dnipro Region, Slobozhanshchyna, Polissya, Podillia, and the Carpathians.
The museum offers visitors a journey into the past, where they can see traditional residential and farm complexes, including houses, barns, windmills, and other attributes of ancient Ukrainian villages. In addition to architectural monuments, the museum houses about 100,000 exhibits, including folk clothing, furniture, tools, and folk art.

National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine in Pirogov

This museum is located on the territory of the ancient Rus city of Trepol, known to us as Trypillia. The museum exhibits finds from different eras, ranging from the Stone Age to the times of Kyivan Rus, the Cossack period, and later periods.
The museum's exhibition is presented in three halls, where you can see mineralogical and paleontological collections, household items from Kyivan Rus, artifacts of Trypillian culture, and many other unique exhibits.

The Vyshhorod Historical and Cultural Reserve of national significance is located in the city of Vyshhorod, which was the residence of the princes of Kyivan Rus in the 9th-12th centuries. Among the reserve's museums, it is worth visiting the Museum of Pottery and the Vyshhorod Historical Museum.

Located in Pereiaslav, this open-air museum is the first of its kind in Ukraine. Covering an area of 25 hectares, it features about 300 objects of folk architecture from the 17th-19th centuries, including churches, houses, and farm buildings. Visitors can see the evolution of Ukrainian housing by visiting thematic museums dedicated to agriculture, bread baking, traditions, and crafts.

Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Middle Dnipro Ukraine

The ethnographic complex "Ukrainian Village" was created to revive Ukrainians' love for their spiritual roots, culture, and everyday life. During holidays, the museum hosts folk craft masters, and visitors can enjoy a mini-zoo with new animal enclosures. There is also a souvenir shop where you can purchase folk crafts. Visitors can taste delicious Ukrainian dishes cooked in a stove, either in the restaurant or outdoors. During religious holidays, services are held in the church located on the complex's grounds.

The "Taras Shevchenko's Wing" Museum is one of the nine departments of the Yahotyn State Historical Museum. The exhibition recreates the interior of the house where Taras Shevchenko stayed during his visits to Yahotyn in 1843, 1845, and 1859. The museum features six thematic halls with works by contemporary Ukrainian artists depicting moments from the poet's life.

Founded in 1974, the museum was initially a memorial museum named after Ostrovsky but was later repurposed into a local history museum after Ukraine gained independence. The museum houses over twelve thousand exhibits, including archaeological finds, ethnographic materials, paintings, graphics, and sculptures.
