About

Communal institution “Boyarka Museum of Local History” of the Boyarka City
Council
The Boyarka Museum of Local History is a place where you can truly feel
the history of Boyarka and its surroundings and trace how the town changed from ancient times
to the present day.
The museum’s exhibition covers several important areas: archaeological finds,
materials on the development of Boyarka in the 19th and 20th centuries, unique documents,
old photographs and household items of local residents. A special place
is given to the theme of the railway, since its construction gave the impetus for the development of
Boyarka as a summer-house suburb of Kyiv.
At the museum you can see traditional clothing, everyday items, family
photographs, and learn about outstanding figures connected with the town.
Separate sections of the exhibition are devoted to events of the 20th century: wars, social
changes and the fates of people who made the history of the community.
Today the museum is not only a place that preserves memory but also a modern cultural and
educational space. It hosts excursions, interactive classes for
schoolchildren, exhibitions, lectures and art meetings. A visit to the museum is
an opportunity to better understand the character of Boyarka, its past and its present-day life.
