About the place
St. Michael's Church rises on the site of an ancient Russian settlement - a settlement that got its name from the river Prytvarka, which flows nearby. The formation of the settlement dates back to the V - VI centuries. Later, this area became the village of Budaivka (now the town of Boyarka), which from 1741 to 1786 belonged to the Kiev - Pechersk Lavra.
