In 2018 the Irpin City Council announced the “Civic Budget” project, where residents submit ideas for improving the city and win funds for their implementation. Halyna Sokolova and Oksana Popova then proposed the idea of creating a mural based on the fairy tale “The Adventures of Dunno”. Their idea won, and as a result, one of the first murals in Irpin at that time and also the largest.
The author of the mural was the Kyiv muralist Volodymyr Pastushok. The project was realised with funds from the civic budget.
