Pokrovskyi Park was opened in 2016 and has a total area of about 2 hectares. It is located at the intersection of Kotliarevskoho and Pokrovska streets. Like most parks in Irpin, it was created on the basis of a pine forest; it also has a green lawn, benches, lamps, decorative trees, flowers and shrubs along nicely paved paths, a sports ground and several playgrounds for children.
Pokrovskyi Park has one feature that strongly distinguishes it from others – its wooden sculptures. Some write that it is the largest wooden sculpture park in Ukraine; perhaps that is so, we have certainly not seen more sculptures in one place. All of them are made very skilfully and look simply wonderful. Among them are many different animals, and characters from cartoons and fairy tales.
The park is small, and by the standards of big cities quite miniature, but you can still spend a lot of time here, especially with children. It is compact, pleasant, beautiful and incredibly rich.
