The small village of Hatne in the Kyiv region was founded in 1169, but the history of the Hatne land began even earlier. According to chronicle sources, this place is mentioned as early as 980. The village, or rather the Good Oak tract, was well known to the princes of Kyiv. This is how today’s village of Hatne is mentioned in many historical documents, beginning with the reigns of Volodymyr the Great, Yaroslav the Wise and Volodymyr Monomakh.
