The museum “The Formation of the Ukrainian Nation” is the first innovative history museum in Ukraine, where the past is combined with modern technologies. We have created an ultra-modern museum in which the glorious pages of our state come alive. In 1.5–2 hours you can get acquainted with the centuries-long history of the Ukrainian nation.
What awaits you?
100 figures of outstanding Ukrainians from Princess Olha to prominent figures of our country today. All historical stories in the museum are recreated according to historians’ descriptions and confirmed by scientific organisations. The appearance of historical figures, their age and clothing correspond to the time when the event shown in the story took place, or to the period when they were at the peak of their fame or at the time of greatest prosperity. Now everyone can see with their own eyes what the Cossacks, Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, Bohdan Khmelnytsky and other famous reformers of the Ukrainian nation looked like.
25 story compositions, where each installation is accompanied by interactive audio and video content, smells, and virtual reality devices, which let the visitor feel the atmosphere of the era they are in.
