The St. Michael's Church is the oldest building in Pereiaslav, constructed in 1646 with the support of Colonel Fedir Loboda. The church underwent multiple renovations, and after a fire in 1734, it was restored with a wooden roof replacing its stone vaults. The facade was adorned with pilasters, colorful rosettes, and reliefs. During World War II, the church suffered damage but was restored in the 1950s based on sketches by Taras Shevchenko.
